Yam flour is the powdered starch derived from yam tubers when dried. It is commonly used in African dishes, mostly known in the Yoruba tribe in Nigeria. It is prepared by grinding dried yams into powder form. Ades yam flour is usually prepared in a similar process for wheatmeal or semolina.
