After twenty years of operations offline, Nako General Food store has transitioned online as a result of the recent and ongoing global coronavirus pandemic. In case you don’t already know, the Nako General Food store is a greengrocery, selling fresh produce, spices, flour, grains, rice, herbal products, and more from both independent and household brands located in Hackney, East London on the Ridley Road market.
Like many businesses, supermarkets, and other greengrocers, Nako General Foods has struggled but continued to support local people during what can only be described as unprecedented times. However, now almost a year into the Covid-19 pandemic, they have made the decision to expand their customer reach on a new platform, providing a safer experience to their regular customers.

If you sign-up to the members club, you will also receive exclusive discounts and access to click and collect delivery. This is great for when there are no delivery slots available, or if your passing by, speeding up your shopping trip and reducing your risk of catching the virus.
The same precautions will be taken by members of staff in-store and for deliveries – the safety of our customers remains the number one priority during these uncertain and difficult times.

With transitioning online, we hope we can reach even more people, allowing them to experience our fantastic produce and selection of goods. Despite the sudden move to online services (alongside our regular services) we still strive to deliver quality products at an affordable price, something which matters more than ever given the current circumstances – we’re all in this together.

Regular customers of Nako General Food can shop as normal in-store. However, they now have the option of online delivery, helping keep our customers safe during these difficult times. This is a fantastic service for those who are shielding, vulnerable, or uneasy about leaving home.
